Splenic Authority

I cover the basics at the beginning in this post, and then get a little bit more advaned later in the post with a video. Enjoy!


The basics.


The spleen is categorised as an Awareness centre. This particular Awareness centre, the spleen, is responsible for processing fear. The spleen is tied with intuitive abilities and animal survival instincts. Your intuition is feeding you information about safety or danger, what is healthy or not healthy, what is right or wrong for you and what you should do in any given moment that is safe, right, or healthy for you. The splenic intuition comes from a primal instinct. Think about early humans living as “cavemen” who had to run away from large animals who might attack them or to find shelter when they smell rain coming. This is a period in human history when humans had to heavily rely on their bodily senses and primal instincts to find food, find safe places to sleep and eat, and determine who to trust and so on.


The splenic authority is the quietest authority out of all of the authorities. You may experience it as a soft voice, like a whisper that you hear in your mind. You may also experience it as a bodily ‘knowing’ where you instantly just know something deep within. It speaks about the current moment in the present, never about the past or the future. It will tell you instructions or it will give you data about something. For example, it may tell you “Don’t go to this restaurant. It’s not safe”. Or “look to the left, what you’re looking for is there”, or “don’t trust this person.” Always trust the first thing your spleen tells you. It doesn’t repeat itself or take a long time, it is very absolute, and has a calm and stern voice. 

You may need to be still or surrounded by quiet in order to tune in and hear your splenic authority’s voice guiding you. If you are feeling your intuition trying to speak to you, go to the quietest room near you (even a bathroom stall!) or take space away from other people’s auras and you may be able to hear your intuition more loudly and clearly. If there are higher stakes or risks with your safety, such as going hiking or travelling alone to a new place, your splenic voice might become louder. Your spleen is connected to your lymphatic system which is also connected to your immune system, so drinking good quality filtered water, and stretching or walking to create flow of your lymphatic fluid is very helpful for you and is tied to your ability to stay healthy and make good decisions.


You can receive your splenic guidance in two ways. One is without you prompting it and the other is with you intentionally asking it for guidance. Without prompting, you may be going about your day like any other day, and suddenly hear or feel your spleen telling you to do something or it will tell you a piece of information about your current situation or about someone in front of you. The second way that your spleen may speak to you is that you ask it for guidance. You may be in a predicament or in a moment of wanting to make a decision, large or small, and you can ask your spleen, “does this feel right, healthy or safe?” Your spleen will tell you which decision to make.


To gain a stronger relationship with your spleen guiding you, try to recall each time you hear your spleen.

  • What does the voice sound like?

  • How does it instruct or guide you?


When you can gain familiarity with it, you will immediately be able to tell if it is your spleen speaking or your logical mind. Write your splenic pings down in the moment. This will help you to track and remember what your spleen is guiding you to do. When you read your journal, you’ll be able to see only what your spleen is guiding you in, without your logic. That is a representation of your intuitive connection to universal Spirit. It’s okay to doubt it at times, experiment with trusting it and seeing the outcomes or feeling into how it feels when you follow it. You might realize that the more something scares you, it might be the right decision for you. It’s a healthy, exciting anxiety that you might be feeling.
